Osh "check in" thread

Post by spikescopilot »

Just an FYI that Spike and Poeboy made it to Osh ok. They were stuck in Chiccago overnight (bad weather), but made it into Osh today around 11:30am local time.

Last year the EAA had an internet access tent -- if you're headed out there and get a chance, check-in from the tent (assuming it's available again this year).

Hey Patti,

John called me from Lansing yesterday. Glad to here they waited out the weather and made it the rest of the way. I was no help on giving them some info on what to do in Lansing. What did they do on the layover? :)

They hung around the airport until the FBO closed, but I have no clue after that.

Just sat down at the computer now from fun filled day of avaiting!

Wicked Stick was a TREMENDOUS help! He has eagle eyes and excellent ideas.

I didn't have a chance to check in while ar OSH. I was busy eating steak!

Good to see everyone though!

Alright, you can't make a statement like that without some kind of explanation!

Hahaha, I took 256 megs of pics... so, yah. I guess I DID take pics of everything!

Paullie and I both ate the 40 0z. steaks. They took over 30 minutes to cook and equally as long to eat! To be perfectly honest, Paullie ate more than me. His salad was larger and he had 2 slices of Texas toast. He also ate more steak. He had less fat and gristle left over than me.

It really wasn't that hard to finish the steak, because it was sooooo good!

Here we are, from left to right, PTrotter (Paul), Spike (John), Wicked Stick (Dave) and CJ (me).

At this place, you cook your own steak. Pretty cool, really. Grab a steak out of the case marked "STEAKS" and slap it on the grill!

That was a good time, guys! Spike, thanks again for organizing it!

Jim, I have your shirt! Let's hook up and I can get it to ya! You missed a good time.

Was a great time guys! Glad to hear that everyone made it home safely. It was a bit questionable if we were going ot make it home in one day or not. Visibility dropped quite low on the way home, probably less than 4 miles. I think after having weather on the way up and back that I am going to finish the instrument ticket in the very near future. Ill have pics up soon I hope.

Our vis dropped down as well. Sounds like yours was worse, though.

Spike, are you setting up and OSH 2005 folder for us to upload to? I have been holding off on the uploads to see if you create a new folder. I got LOTSA PICS!

You must still be working on it. There is no admin options pull down box available.

Are you aware?

Sorry, that was my fault; I forgot to add the "rivetbangers" permissions.

Cool!

Looks like it is working well. It is compressing those Citabria shots we spoke of earlier.

Thanks!

Yup, it works... but it still doesn't like the size of those Citabria pics!
