operating limitations for a 160HP rv4

Post by Tom Harp »

Can anyone help me with obtaining this. I've got to get hold of this list for the FAA guy by next Thursday. Been trying to jump through their hoops to obtain a new airworthjiness cert. for a previously liscensed 4, and just found out today about this wrinkle.
Many thanks
Tom

The limitations are not a function of the HP. The limitations are:
VNE = 210 mph
gross Wutility = 1500 lb (although some builders have selected higher)
gross Wacro = 1275 lb
g's = +6 / -3
CG limits - sorry can't remember off hand but the aft limit is different for utility or acro.

You may also impose some manuevering limitations, such as no aerobatics, but what fun would that be? there may also be stuff like 'no passengers' depending on where you are in the test program, etc.

Hope this helps.
