Desser - Tires and tubes

Post by JohnR »

I ordered tires and tubes from Desser while at OshKosh last week. I told them I was in no hurry and they said they would probably get them shipped on Friday. Well they came in today.

Quick service, friendly folks, and the price was right. I paid $226 with shipping for Air Hawks with Michelin Air Stop tubes and the lamb tire and tube for the front. Free talc also.

I'd recommend Desser for your tires.

John, glad to see you got your Desser order!

The RV guys on my field all use Desser!

Except, they use retreads?!?!

Dunno... I don't get that one. I wouldn't want to risk a wheel pant on a retread coming apart. They are only like 10 bux cheaper.

Air stop tubes are awesome.
I never have to put air in the skyhawk tires.
I bought a spare tailwheel tire / tube for the 170 from the Desser guy on Sunday - 35 smackers and I got a free tube with it. He is was a super nice guy - we spent some time talking about his motorcycle race team.

Another plug for the end of show deals ... I got about 4x6' of sheet aluminum from the Airparts guys ... it was 20% off, came to 56$ and the guy said "how about 50 bucks" Unfortunately I had to leave by noon on Sunday so I didn't get to search out any other deals...

Yeah, I know. All the RV's around here have the same one. I'd hate to be to different.
