Long wait, no parts and no contact... Who is it?

Post by captain_john »

Have you guys been watching my thread over at the other place?

http://www.vansairforce.com/community/s ... hp?t=77975

This guy is just, far and away the worst vendor I have ever dealt with!

He takes a paypal order and doesn't contact for a month. I then call him. He tells me that he is "picking the order now" and I will have it in a few days.

When it doesn't arrive, I try to call him back. He doesn't answer his calls.

I shoot him an email and he does reply as it explains on the other site but tells me that I have to tell him if I still want the order or a refund. Of course I want the stuff. That's why I placed the order!

Honestly, some people's kids!

Does anyone personally know the guy?

I suppose I could say his name here. Spike doesn't have a rule against it.

I say expose them to help others in the future from repeating this experience. Have no shame. They certainly don't.

Bruce, I tell you what... he STILL hasn't replied to my emails and I don't feel much like hiding his identity any longer.

Here is the antenna kit I ordered more than TWO MONTHS AGO!

http://www.rst-engr.com/rst/catalog/air ... tenna.html

I have now lost all hope in actually getting any product but if that changes, I will let you know.

Perhaps I will get my $36 back but given his level of service I may as well kiss that goodbye.

Caveat emptor!

CJ,

I need to find a way to rub some of that off on me. I'm so frustrated over my fuel pump issue. I called and left you a message, by the way, over the weekend. I'd still like to talk to you.

I'm very happy that this has been resolved. If he would just put "10 month lead time" in his ad, people would know what they're getting into.

The ad says this kit is good for at least 6 antennas. Do you know what you're going to do with the other five? I'm interested. I'd rather deal with you than with him. :)

Bruce,

I meant to call you this morning. Let's talk tomorrow. I will be around.

I got the kit for a friend in South Africa (because Jim Weir said he wouldn't deal with people from other countries).

No problem, CJ. I just wrote a long letter to Owen at Andair, and sent him all the copies of emails I've exchanged with Andy over the last year. I hope he gets back to me. I'll definitely let you know how it goes. Thanks so much! Your recent positive outcome definitely encouraged me.
