I bought another bike after my wreck in 2007, but didn't ride it much. About six months after my wreck, an ex-gf of mine died on the back of someone else's bike, and that pretty thoroughly cured me of the motorcycle habit. I sold that bike about a year and a half ago. I have a junky dirt bike in the garage that needs work that someone gave me in trade, but if I ever ride it it'll be stuck in my hangar as a getting-around-the-field vehicle.
That's rough Ian. Sorry to hear about the ex. Personally, your crash would have cured me of the habit.

it mostly did, but I had enthusiast friends encouraging me to "get back on that horse" or whatever. I never really had the zeal for it again though

OSHKOSH HERE I COME!

We're heading out in a couple days. Going to RON near Fargo, ND at Neils buddy's house. Then get a early start for the 2hr flight into OSH.

Now to finish my fuel system mods tomorrow, finish a couple interior panels, inspect the wheels/tires and brakes, test fly. pack my stuff, load the plane, work 2 more days and.......holy crap I better get busy!

I'll be looking to bum a ride on friday afternoon to make a wallymart run. Anyone gonna be around?

And my route is just a little longer than Brian's or else I'd probably beat him there:

bright and early saturday morning! Actually, probably dim and early. I want to be wheels up by 6am. WX looks like it'll be crappy, so I may be IFR for a chunk of it.
