Going early this week and most likely will be out of there on Wed maybe Thur.

What are the plans Rivetbangers?

I will have a newbie RV6 owner with me that needs to get a taste of the Otter!

Looks like the Dan Horton Social will be on Monday the 29th. Van's dinner is normally on Tues correct?

What say the crowd?

I say..Have fun for me. We're out this year. Kris gets to pick locations and it's looking like the Oregon coast.

BTW...I'll have the small prime

Brian, Brian and everyone else not named Brian,

I hesitated to reply because I was unsure about whether or not I was going this year.

I think that I just made my decision not to go. This is the summer of avionics and I plan to be very busy wiring my plane. You guys will have to eat all that beef without me at the Otter!

I hope to fly my pane out there the following year if all goes well!

We shall see?!?

Have fun!

Aw, Man..... The Otter without CJ filling his face? Crap. This sequester stuff is really getting out of hand.....

Didn't we do the Otter on Wednesday night? Is Vans having a dinner this year? Usually they do something like that on Tuesday night. Last year we did beer at my campsite on Monday, but with the big to do via VAF that night, may be repetitive for some. Dunno. If there is interest in a get together again at my campsite, we can do that on another night. Otherwise stop by any night for a cold one. None of that New England near beer tho!

Like Brian said...... Hello..... Anyone out here??? Is this thing on????

Let's get a consensus about the Otter etc, and see if there is any interest in doing either or both....

I was hoping this year would be it for me to finally make Oshkosh, but maybe next year! My project won't be done this summer, but should easily be ready for next year.

Living vicariously through others...

I'll be there all week. At least I plan to be. 8)

Nights are pretty open for me this year except Thursday which is the homebuilders dinner at the Nature Center. I'll be hangin at my campsite quite a bit too...once I know where we're at, I'll let ya know. Stop by!

You're welcome at the corner of 44th and Lindbergh, Chad. Its a high class neighborhood, but we'll make an exception.....

sorry about missing out this year. I kind of like hanging out there. Seems I never get enough time to see people and do what I want. One of these years I'm going by myself, camping with all the RV's and spending many hours near the plane. just talking with whom ever wanders past.

oh I might leave for Otter food.

I'm in

Hey guys,

I am in this year, but only for a little over a day. I will be in Chicago on business that week, so plan on driving up Thursday night, staying through Friday and flying back either Friday night of Saturday morning.

Now I just need to find a place to stay!

I will be focused on engine selection this year since I am at the firewall forward stage.

I'm hoping to be there Sun-Wed morning. But there are a few caveats that may ruin my plans.

Obstacle #1: FSDO is inspecting the RV-10 on 6/26. That gives me a month to do Phase I. If there is any bad weather on the weekends that's going to make a difficult situation more difficult. My son is graduating ENJJPT and getting his wings, so there is one less weekend available.

Obstacle #2: Close on old and new houses on the 7/25 and move the Saturday before OSH. This also further impacts #1.

Obstacle #3: In the midst of a data center move. If any of the moves go south, then it's all over.

But I'm going to do my best effort to overcome all of these obstacles.

Hey Bob...let me know ASAP if your plans change because I still have you down for a hangar review of your -10.

Thanks!

Oh sorry.....

If I land a job I may not make it, if I don't I may be able to come for what could be my "last" OSH!?

No worries, health is fine just if I move South for new job I wont be 90min drive anymore so more like Sun N Fun after that!?

Think that's where I first encountered some kid named Chad around ten years ago?

Obstacle #4 & #5 did me in. The RV-10 will be finished before OSH, but not in enough time to get through Phase I. Another personal issue will keep me from spending the week. I'm still hoping to perhaps fly up for a day, but that isn't looking very good at the moment.

So it appears that I'll miss Van's dinner, Dan's Beer Bust, and the Otter this year. So I'll start the coutdown clock to next year! See everyone then.
