lost a fuel cap - LHS

Post by A2022 »

flying with a newbie and I lost a fuel cap off the end of the runway. no excuses for me, out of rythum, talking about printed parts and I just missed the latch not being secured. returned to base and installed my spare cap from my flyaway kit. it was a good cap, engraved, working well since 2013 and lots of life left. I rode around in the grass on my motorbike to try to find it but no luck. my new temp engraving. replacement spare from Van's arrived. it's a strange feeling when you look out the window and see parts falling off your airplane.
