Changes - Experimental Operating Limitations

Post by A2022 »

A new registered aircraft and we noticed some changes to the Experimental Operating Limitations regarding life-limited parts. See item 12 in photo. The limitations will apply to this aircraft for the lifetime. However, these changes are not retroactive to other previously registered aircraft. If your aircraft Experimental Operating Limitations do not include this statement concerning life-limited parts then it may not be required. For examply, my RV9A Limitations does not include this statement and when the FAA was asked if it applied to prior existing aircraft, they said it did not, only the Limitations originally issued apply. The date of this FAA approved operating limitation is March 29, 2022 and is for an RV9A.
