Cut and inspect the oil filter

Post by A2022 »

I usually wait a couple days before cutting the filer for inspection. set it on an angle in the cut filter housing and let it drain. by doing this it reduces the oil mess, and I don't believe it adds any significant risk of a flight in between. looks good with no metal particle found. there are some magnetic oil drain funnels on the wall. I like the compact oil drain funnel for the filter drain because it keeps the engine clean and drains to the bucket.
