finally - an accurate tire inflator

Post by A2022 »

cheap Harbor Freight inflator for several years but it didn't last. my wife bought this Milton inflator (red hose) for me for Christmas. this thing is great and I'm happy to use it. easy to read and has good repeatable measurements. it seems I am always inflating some tire: cars, motorcycles, airplane, bikes. lots of tires. I worked at my Uncle's Sinclair (green dinosaur) service station when I was a teen, he had one of these.

I've had great luck with the $9.99 Harbor Freight inflator (https://www.harborfreight.com/pistol-gr ... 68270.html).

I have one at home and one at the hangar. Over the past 10 years the one at home had developed some leaks in the body, and the one at the hangar's hose was degraded to an unsafe condition. So I invested $10 into a new one, took the hose off for the hangar inflator, and use the body to fix the one in my garage.

Sure I could of spent $20 for 2 new ones, but I achieved practically the same result for $10. Frugality is certainly a gene that runs in my veins!

the HF portion that connects to the valve stem was wearing and flaking, making contact difficult. also, I was concerned the flakes would get into the valve stem. the long strait end of the HF inflator made it difficult for me to inflate the motorcycles. if you can keep it going, that is the best. squeeze everything out of the equipment!

I need the straight adapter to fit through the hole I made in my wheelpants.
