I'll take a picture of that part, but it's a curved piece that has notches in it. It will mount to that cover that I made.

I just remembered I have a picture of the flap weldment and the notched piece from back when I got them in January. I'll have to figure a way to mount it nice and sturdy on top of the cover...

Okay, time for an updated couple of pics on the flap weldment install. I did this before Oshkosh, but forgot to post the pics here...

Flap weldment on the bench...

Here it is just set in place...

Clamped for drilling center block...

Center block installed...

Can't do anything more with them until I have the wings on. Then I can position the notch arm, and figure out how I'm gonna mount that.

It seems pretty much the same install as the EL weldment install...just no motor or cover to do.

Coupla updates from this week. This part is more or less the same as any electric install, but here are the pics anyway...

A couple of pics of the tunnel cover and notch arm that I was working on last night. I made a doubler plate for the cover out of .063 to take the air loads the flaps will carry thru the handle to the cover.

More to come...but I'm almost done with these.

Chad,

Youre going to have to stop posting pics of that notched part!

That is just too much! Go see your wife and get that thing taken care of!

Okay, last entry on the manual flaps...they are done!

One more picture of the "thing". It's all riveted to the tunnel cover, and ready to install...
Image

Installed, and set to "0"-
Image

Flaps are perfectly inline at that setting, so I think I'll call them done!!

Great work Chad, I suspect a few others might do the same now. Can't beat that manual flap position indicator either.
