and here is one shortly before glasswork. I didn't cut back as far as Chad, but after the glass work started I wish I had. I ended up trimming more to get the ear to lay down better.

How far back will the fiberglass work go? Probably on the same subject area, I've read about not drilling the corner or last hole in the Plexiglass. Is this in the same area?

Not sure what you mean by the corner or last hole in the plexi, but I ran the fiberglass just to the aft edge of the 702 (602).
