wing conduit glue
wing conduit glue
I read that it is recommended to use pro seal to glue in the conduit that runs through the wing ribs... anybody have any thoughts about silicone? got a ton of it left over from household projects.. any problem with the aluminum reacting to it?

I used proseal on my wing conduits too. I only sealed where the conduit protrudes from the inboard-most rib and the outboard-most rib. It hasn't moved in 5 years and my RV-4 hasn't fallen out of the sky yet.

Van's recommends putting some proseal between each rib and the conduit to prevent vibrations from causing the rib to cut into the conduit over time. I don't know if I fully believe that, but since I had my bottom skin off, it was easy to proseal the conduit to each rib.

There's nothing magical about Proseal here. I just used clear RTV...
