pop rivet question?

Post by Joe Casey »

When I did my inventory, I recorded the bag numbers on the pop rivets, and now cannot tell which is which... Is the cad plated pop rivet used for the fiberglass parts the CS4-4 as shown on the plans?

pop rivet question?

Post by Kenk »

I believe the cad plated rivets were the "oops" rivets.  There is a page near the front of the manual that lists the various rivets with pictures.

Smitty-

Wow, great pics of the pop rivets! You mind if I steal them and put them on my web log?

And not one person flamed you for asking "a dumb question." Which, it wasn't. But on other forums, that would probably have happend. Here you get answers with pictures. Ain't this a great place?

Heck, I'm going to bookmark this thread because half the time I can't tell them buggers apart myself. :)

Wow Smitty above and beyond! Great stuff.

I don't want to detract from Smitty's fine work, but as Kenk said there is a blind rivet identification chart in the manual. Page 5-16.

pop rivet question?

Post by JOHN TIPTON »

Hi Guys

Re: Duckworks Landing Lights

As a matter of interest, what are the 'soft' POP rivets that can be used for the mounting strips to the lens on these units, I'm going down this road as opposed to the double sided sticky tape

The pop rivets that come with the Duckworks kits are for retrofitting the kit into a QB Wing.

Thank you.  I have been a passive reader for a couple of years.  Great site!
Am building an RV-9, small wheel in the rear.
