FAA 51% question

Post by Joe Casey »

I recently read an article that mentioned there were 119 separate items the FAA has listed as required to complete, to comply with the amateur built rule. In order to meet the 51% rule minimums, the article stated that the builder needed to complete a minimum of 60 of these items... I looked all over the net for a list of these 119 items, but could find no mention of them .... anyone out there know where to send me to find this info?

Joe,

This is stuff that normally concerns the kit supplier/manufacturer.

If you are building a Vans kit, you comply.

I am wondering why you need this list. You might only think you need it and really don't.

...or, maybe you have another reason that is totally valid.

What are you building?
