The midwest weather is being kind for holiday travel! Here is a picture from yesterday when Beth and I were on our way back to St. Paul after picking up her Mom in Madison WS.
These moments remind me why I fly!
Anyone else have any shots from their holiday flights?

While not *technically* family holiday travel, this was taken on December 21st, and was my last flight before driving for the holidays (weather).
This is a horrible picture (as far as quality goes...), but I managed to snap a couple of shots as I was coming in to Farmingdale, NY in a Piper Malibu (flying with the owner as a second pilot per his wife's request). This is about four miles south of JFK...and that tail is an Atlas 747...
Don't even ask me about my return trip via American Airlines...
Let's just say that I'm SO HAPPY I don't travel them (or ANY airline) often...

Well, Malibu's are not on what I would consider my "fun" list. They ARE the BEST all around piston airplane out there, but they are not really fun. They are no good for just going up for a good time-'round-the-city flight, but they are the perfect cross country airplane with pressurization to get in to the flight levels above most weather. They do fly nice, and are among the best handling airplanes on the spam can list. My wife wants one, and it's on top of her list (above the RV even!! )

My wife would like a Malibu too!
I think it is more of a passenger's plane than a pilot's plane. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't still want one!
Once in a while, the pilot needs to be a passenger too!
