OK, be honest...
Did anyone actually fab up a bunch of these things? I just made my first one and it just seems to me that they could have supplied some kind of standard part instead of bending 0.025" aluminum!
Am I alone in thinking these spec'ed clips are ghetto fabrication?

Now, why didn't you utilize the keeper rivets instead of relying upon and hassling with the skin rivets?
I know it doesn't matter, but if you could put it to bed now with the keepers... why not?

C'mon CJ, quit your *itching and get to building. If you wanted pre-fab you woulda bought a Cessna. How long does it take to bend some .016 strips around a Phillips screwdriver?
Oh, and Merry Christmas. I enjoyed the video.

I think the keeper rivets would be ideal for the clips. I just didn't know I needed them until after I had the skins on.

Bret, you should know me by now. I am not happy UNLESS I'm *itchin!
...and they are made out of 0.025'!!!
Chad, fair enough. I thought I was overlookin' sumpin!
BTW, I will be drilling out my keepers soon, as that is where I will put the clips.

O no! Chad, it looks like we will have to drill ours out and re-fab these "structural" clips out of .025. Das Fed has spoken!

SLACKERS!
BTW, I recall an AN742 to be the "real" part, but it has a larger than #40 hole like we need.

Hey CJ,
Look what Santa brought me...
Maybe if you had laid off the Captain Morgan a little this past year you might have gotten some too...
Hee hee, Merry Christmas!

Bret, I got mine done with a little complaining. They are fiddley little things.
What killed me is they are commercially sold, but what makes them unique is the #40 hole instead of the 0.19" mounting hole.
Yours aren't per plan, btw. Were you drinking when you read the diagram? I think you might fall out of the sky with those!

Per plans? You trying to tell me that Van supplies "plans" for making these clips? You gotta be kidding!
Don't need no stinkin' plans... Just build it!
