Wow, I had no idea you had been working on it that long. Makes me feel better about life getting in the way for the last several months. It is all relative anyway. I'm like you, it will get done, just don't know when.

Wings Mated!
Does not look as kool as that wide panoramic pic but here it is, wings all mated. I also got the elevators mounted and the horns drilled. Thanks Chad for the bushing!

Must be MATING season!
What's up with what looks like the extra belly skin on the left side of your garage? Decided to have the Flintstones floorless RV model?

That is part of the love that ABF gave me when shipping my kit. The new one is installed and that one is just waiting to be hacked up for shims or something. It is bent bad on one corner.

Lookin' Good
Brian,
Way to go! Before you take it apart, I would fit the wing to fuselage fairings, if you have them. I cannot remember if they came with the fuselage or finish kit.
Good Luck!

Thanks guys,
I ordered them early taking Chad's lead. Thanks Chad!
Planning to do as much as possible before removing them because I have no reason to be in a hurry to get them back off.

I have not measured the wing span but my basement is about 28.3' wide and I think about 25' deep. I have almost 3 feet on each side to walk around the wings. I have some shelves on one side that make it a little tight on that end. I could put the wingtips on but that would block access. I will most likely scoot the entire thing over and fit one wingtip at a time and then remove them in order to keep the path clear.
The front to back is fine now but will become really tight when the engine and mount are on there.
It is cool to have what looks like an airplane sitting in your garage.

Yep, wings will come off for the trip to the airport. I could get it out with some shifting and dollies but there will be no reason to try.TomNativeNewYorker wrote:Do you need to partially disassemble to get it out the door?
