Dynon 180 setup

Post by hydroguy2 »

I haven't done anything towards getting my D180 ready for engine start. I'll admit reading manuals and figuring out computer stuff is not my strong suit.

SO anything special I need to know or tidbits to make it go smoother?

now, where's my hammer :bang:

Brian, ditch the hammer! Do you have a friend who is good at electronics? Like a telephone installer or repairman? I have a Dynon 10D and that was relatively simple to wire and a Grand Rapids engine Monitor. You will find yourself having to use diodes, resitors, and other wierd things. I have a good friend who is retired from Quest and is very computer savy in addition. He helped with all of my wiring and still saves my butt when I have electronic problems. A good electrcian who knows computers might be able to help you. If you were closer and I had a medical we would fly out there. However the distance is to great to drive.

Ok stowed the hammer for now.

The Dynon is all wired up and I've fired it up once or twice. Now all I need to do is figure how to work it and set the parameters. Looks like I'll get to test out those new seats soon.
