Setting rivets a little further?
Setting rivets a little further?
on the first set of platenuts i set on the right spar, the shop head is just SLIGHTLY small in the gauge. on the left spar (don't know why i didn't think of this for the right side
), i added a thin washer under the flush set, and they are set perfectly in the gauge. my question is, should i go back to the right spar and set all of them just a little more, or leave 'em? i don't want to upset the new metal composition of the previously set rivet, but does it matter enough to work 'em again?

It sounds like you are NOT using an adjustable set ???
In my opinion it's worth getting one and makes life much easier.
As for re-squeezing, I can't see where it would hurt so long as you don't over squeeze them past the other part of the gauge and make them too thin.
