OT: 7 P-51's stop by for fuel at my FBO today!! Video's!

Post by cjensen »

On their way to the GML show in Columbus, we've had 9 Mustang's in the last two days, with 7 of them coming in as a group today, led by a King Air 350.

The King Air was the lead in the formation as they came overhead for the break. What a site to see a King Air 350 do an overhead break with a 90 degree bank to the downwind, followed by 7 -51's!!! Unfortunately, I didn't get video of the entry or landing, but I did shoot some video of the startups and departures.

Enjoy!

:bang: My audio card died last week! :bang:

I "sort of" had the possibility to ride to GML in the back seat of one of those Mustangs! I contacted the owner of VooDoo since I went for a ride with him a bit over a year ago & asked about catching a ride with the group. He siad there was a seat open if I was willing to share fuel costs. That would have been $5000 :o Needless to say, I'm sitting here at home

Every one of them had a back seat rider with 'em! :o The owner of Voodoo was probably the nicest of the bunch!

Yeah, Bob seems to be a really good guy. They loaned me some tools to fix my car that weekend after having one of my SS brake lines pop just after getting off of the freeway :o

Wow, nine in one place. I've never seen more than two, thanks for using the camera and sharing.

You're very welcome! I have a couple more of them taxiing, but haven't had a chance to upload them yet...

It was quite the site to see that many at a regular airport, and no show going on!
