On Hold

Post by Snap »

Hi all, just thought I would let you know where I have been. My relationship is in turmoil at the moment so all is on hold. I kinda have the wind sucked out of me at the moment. I'm alittle lost. I need to focus on her as she is my true love. I will talk when I can. DON'T TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED!

Snap, here's wishing you my best!

I know it is of little consolation now, but it will all work out in the end.

Nice to hear that your head and your heart are in the right place! Our "Aluminum Mistress' " will always be there for us but we can't always say the same for the people in our lives.

All the best for the two of you!

Thank you all for your support. It doesn't help that we are on opposite sides of the counrty. You can understand why I feel so helpless. Thanks guys for just being you. It helps.

Snap,

I feel for you dude, that sucks. I've been there too. Mine didn't work out the way I hoped. So, I guess I'm the last guy that should offer advice.

The other guy's are right, and you said it too, keep focused on what's important. Do what you have to, to make your relationship work.

When things get bad, keep in touch with your family and friends, keep talking to 'em. When feeling down or helpless, there really isn't any better medicine, ya just gotta talk to someone with a sympathetic ear.

I really wish the best for you and your miss. I pray things work out for the best.

If she's on the other side of the country perhaps the best thing to do is work on your project. To much idle time spent dwelling could worsen your problem. Right now it's about keeping your mental state in tact and perhaps if she hears about you happily working away she'll have second thoughts of her own. Nothing pisses women off more than playing second fiddle to anything. Even when, and especially when, they think they're done with you. I wish you luck my friend.

I cant say that I have ever been in that position, though Patti has. If there is anything we can do to help out Snap let us know. Make sure your priorities are right, and take it one day at a time. In the end, airplanes are just things.

Hang in there

Post by JohnR »

Snap,

Hang in there. I've been there and it isn't much fun. About 7 years in things went pretty nuts. She wanted nothing to do with working it out as most of it was admittedly my fault. I hung in there for a year and eventually we did get things worked out. Since then we've had two kids and raised them and are now on our 32nd year together.

I'd be glad to help in any way I can. Feel free to PM me if there is anything I can do.

Umm... OK, how do I say it. My wife and I have split up. She says she just doesn't love me anymore. As you can imagine, I am not very good at the moment. It doesn't help that she is on the other side of the country and there is nothing I can do about it. I really don't know where this came from. I have been infatuated with her the entire time we have been together and thanked God every day for her.

Now all my plans for the rest of my life have disappeared. I am lost. I really hate this feeling. Oh dear. Nothing ever comes out as you plan does it.

Hey Snap,

Man, that's a hard one. Sorry to hear that buddy. Keep close to your friends, and let them (us) help as much as we can. CJ is right, keep your chin up, things can only get better from here.

We're a world away physically, but let us know if we can help with anything... :)

Gabran was never more right when he penned "love knows not it's own depth until the hour of separation." God made you a man of deep love. Don't give that up. Lean on Him and rest in Him. Our Lord works all things to the good of those who love Him.

Steady on.

Well said, Scott.

...and like I always said, it is much easier to get over someone when you are under someone else!

Ok. I am running away. I just got an offer to go to Victoria, Australia. An internal move within the compnay. Better location for me for several reasons.

1. I own a house there.

2. Big Hanger that I can build in.

3. I can build my plane.

4. Closer to family and friends.

5. More and better flying there.

6. (see 1.) refinancing the house to buy kit and new car (Porsche)

I think this is caled 'Retail Therapy'. I have been feeling down for so long now and I am fed up with it. I am doing this for me now. I am not going to think about anyone but me. This is ME TIME!!!!

So, I will be moving soon and getting stuck into the RV finally and I have no-one to answer to but me.

I wish to thank all of you. You have been a great group of friend that have helped me through a tough time in my life. Reading your posts and watching you all progress has kept me sane. Soon to be amongst you building.
