Fuel return to 1st bay okay??

I've decided that I may need a return line. My problem, as many of you know, is that my tanks are done and sealed. I can easily have access to the first bay thru the access plate, which isn't a big deal to take off and reseal (already done it once... ).

The problem is, is that I won't be able to clean metal chips from the second bay if I drill in to that rib and run the return there. The first bay seems like my only choice, and I want to know what the deal is with this.

Is this okay?

Yup, I am sure it would be fine.

My only reasons for returning fuel to the center bay were for "feel good" reasons, nothing based in fact... and it wasn't that much harder with the tanks still under construction.

I returned mine to the second bay only because CJ did.

Actually it was easy during construction and I did so due to the same reason as CJ, feel good. I think the first bay would be fine also.

You thinking FI now? Last I heard I thought you had mentioned carb. I'm not 100% sure where I'll end up but figured I might as well have the option to return fuel if I needed it.

I have no idea. Out of the four or five engine options I'm considering, the majority of them will need a return line. So, after thinking about it, I thought now would be a better time to open the tanks again, and get it done, rather than waiting until the wings are on, and then ordering the engine only to realize that I need the return line.

Some FI engine's don't need it, most do. The Subaru's for sure need it, and I'm sure the deisels will (as well as the Innodyn ).

The Bendix / Precision Silver Hawk RSI FI units do not need the return lines. Most of the others do. Good luck!
