It's about 90 here (Modesto, California) today but last week we were hitting 118 degrees on the termometer. We had about two weeks of sustained temps above 100 degrees. I remember one night at midnight it was 101. I can't wait to see my electricity bill next month.

90 feels nice by comparrison. Stay cool!

I just went to the hangar ... the OAT guage in the cessna is reading 115!

Too hot for anything except surfing the internet and sleeping ... oh yeah, and work - but I don't have any choice about that!.

ha ha ha. Uh, nobody that I know owns a thermometer. It stays between 72 and 77 pretty much year round. If it gets above 80, we all start crying. Here, if you want to make yourselves sick, check out our ten day forecast:

It's over here (for now)

Post by RV7Factory »

Our weather has changed dramatically for the better... last weekend it was 115, while this weekend it was 85. I just hope it stays like this for a while.

Close to the century mark for another 3 days.
Way too hot to work in the garage

Mid to low 80's now.
Feels nice!!

Glad there is a rivetbanging RV-7 builder so close. I'm about to start an RV-7 project. I'll be perusing your web site quite a bit.

Feel free to hop in that RV of yours and pay me a visit. I can always come pick you up at the Livermore airport.

I actually had to put a sweatshirt on while working in the shop tonight... crazy!

We had a huge storm here Sunday. An airplane was flipped onto another airplane and bent up pretty good.

Well, they tell me it was hot here today.

I was out fishing almost to Nantucket and needed a jacked until we turned back towards the Cape.

All tolled, 15 fish!

12 Stripers
3 Blue fish

All went to pay for fuel. It was commercial day. We sold them all.

110 Nautical Miles logged in a 28' Kat boat, 102 gallons burned in twin 225 Hondas.

We looped the entire Cape!

I am wicked tired!!!

Sounds like a good time CJ! Being on the water is very tiring though.

Last night I took the wife and both kids out for the kids birthday dinners. They wanted to go to a place in Burlington that overlooks the Mississippi River, it is about 1 1/2 hours away and I noticed on the way down that it was showing 101 still at 6:00 PM and was still 85 at 9:30 PM when we started home.

At least it is supposed to cool down starting tomorrow and only be 81 or so on Thursday. I hope they are correct on the forecast.

Yup, still... we are tunaless...

It is still early, though.

Tonight it turns August and it is usually mid August when they come in. I will be in Maine doing floatplane stuff then!

Hardest thing bout float flyin is actually the taxi to the dock - but I supose you probably should be good with that. I had never been at the helm of a boat so it basically kicked my a** the first time I tried  . It was windy and the 172 weather veined big time :(

Will, it IS!!!

The docking sequence is very unnerving for the single pilot!

I am looking forward to going up there and doing it soon!
