With the exception of the rivetbangers gallery which is integrated, the software requires an image file type extension in order to use the img tags. This is a security thing to verify the type of file that you really are linking to.

I can give you a RB account if this will prove difficult to do with your web server.

Sorry, took me a little bit to get back to the post. I went flying last night for an hour and then again this morning for 2 hours.

OH! what the problem was is that I didn't put the .jpg on the end. The print used caps so I needed to use .JPG

Steve,

Good gig you got there, trainee shop and when things slow down you work on the plane!

Plus, it can really impress the customers! Do you get many asking what it is that you are doing?

You bet all the time. In fact it's a good selling point. If you can build a plane you can do my transmission, is what I here all the time. It's rather cool how many guys love the airplane stuff.

What a TOTALLY cool setup! The tranny in my 95 Merc Sable has been giving my grief for years. Thats one of the things I love about flying - gear ratio is constant

The cool setup that I like is that I have the whole end bay for the airplane, but I have all kinds of neat tools, the air is a good setup, when I have spare time I go over to the airplane and work on it. Yup, way cool. I can actually get a bunch done. On your taurus, without looking at it, those transmissions around that year were actually 2 quarts low on the fill, somewhere around that year the factory all of the sudden raised the fill by 2 quarts. Don't know if that is your problem, but I would think going up 1quart would not hurt. I generally always put the cold fill to the top of the hash marks on the stick on all the front drive units. GM actually came out with a bulletin to do such a thing.

Here are my latest pictures (note Jan Martin's RV-4 providing inspiration):

The really sad part is that soon this will all have to come apart again so that I can prep and prime.

Pat,

That's looking very nice. Must be great to be building it right at the airport in the hangar.

Not sure you can call it a "home" built though.

Dave,

Most of the airplane was actually built in my appartment (notice the bookcase in the background):

Image

Unfortunately, although I could have jigged the fuselage in the appartment, it would not have come out without taking down a wall. I suspect that the management company would have had a little problem with that. So, I end up doing all the fabrication and prep work at home, then I drive 45 minutes to the hanger to put the parts on the jig.

Long story short, working at the hangar has slowed me down considerably (but it is still nice to see an actual airplane while I am working).

I stand corrected, you can call it a home built ;)

Nice work, keep at it, and it will be more than worth it in the end when it's finished. (I keep telling myself the same thing)

Pat -

That looks GREAT!!! Holy Clecos!

...and I agree 100% on the mental fatigue and having to take everything apart to prep and prime when it looks SO DARN GOOD on the jig!

Nice Work!

Andy are you guys working together on the same pieces yet? That's when it got "fun" for Beth and I!

Here's one pic from tonight... I'm trying to get the Emp. done before September 15 because Van's thinks I'll have a set of wings in the driveway. The HS and VS are complete and Rudder is just about ready to skin.

This picture is titled, "No Pop Rivets Allowed".

Anyone else try this on the Rudder Horn?

The next time I'm trying to solve a math problem like that I'll remember that you've all probably been there done that!
