Steve, glad to hear I'm not all alone in here on the no-prime. I agonized over that decision for months, but once I found the ACF-50, the primer idea was pronounced dead, and there isn't one molecule of the pesky stuff on my emp. Applicable for every climate, lighter, faster, easier, and better than ANY primer, I think. Of course, if I don't get back to building soon, I'll be pronounced dead before I ever finish the plane, anwyay.allbee wrote:Ok, I'm in troooouuubbble now, I quit primn'. ACF-50 is a wonderful thing!
They REALLY understand corrosion! It is an ELECTRICAL process and they explain it VERY WELL! Check out the videos on the bottom of this page:

Personally, I would still prime the airframe or at the very least, the mating surfaces.
