I had to work today. But the boss said he was going home and didn't expect us other bosses to stay, so spent the day geocaching with my family. Got to use that GPS for something when I'm not aviating.

It's always quiet around the major holidays. I think that's a good thing though! Spend the time with your family! Then come here when you're tired of them!

Where did you get that little guy? That is beautiful!

We have been quiet. We usually have 15 people at our house for at least 10 hours on Thanksgiving. The following days are for sleeping in, cleaining up, and relaxing. Patti and I did go out with some RV'ers yesterday for some flying. We ended up at Ocean City NJ, a neat little airport with a halfway decent place to eat.

It was nice and quaint. This high pressure system we have over the east right now is providing for some of the nicest flying we have had allll year. I was glad to take advantage of it.

Hope you all had just as nice of a holiday.

My wife collects those Santas. They're called "Possible Dreams" Santas. She has about 75 of them and puts them out around the house at Christmas. http://www.christmas-treasures.com/Poss ... Dreams.htm

Hi Lorin, Smitty, & group... I've been sick this holiday (feeling better today) but I didn't let that slow me down.... I've finally, completely, and totally FINISHED MY WINGS  Here's a pic - note the half-crazed look from bucking too many rivets and painting pushrod tubes.

Just in time too since Vans is shipping the fuse kit in the next couple of weeks. It'll be a perfect Christmas gift.

Special thanks to JohnR for lending me the wing stands. John, I'll have the wings stored somewhere this week or next, so I can bring the stands back right after that.

Also a very special "Thank you" to RB and to John for helping our family find our new puppy. John posted a picture of one of his dogs wearing "Mutt Muffs" and when we needed a new pup my wife remembered the post. The rest is history:

Dave, glad to hear you got your wings done!

That's a pretty good looking new family member there also.

No hurry on the wing stands. I had another inquiry about them but they won't need them for a while yet.

Thanks John - do you see any family resemblence to your boys? He is so laid back... and he is already trained to go outside by himself thru the dog door to take care of business. If I could only get him to buck rivets....
