Hangar door wheels

Post by gsimatos »

You guys have been a lot of help in the past so maybe some one might help me with this one. Just moved the RV project to a hangar and found out yesterday the sliding door jams. Looking closer I found one of the steel wheels is broken under the door. These are huge doors and the wheels roll on a rail which looks like a piece of angle with the corner facing up. The wheel itself has a groove shaped in a "VEE" which rides on the rail. The wheel has split in half at the groove and looks like maybe cast iron?? The diameter is about 4 inches. Ploughed thru Yellow Pages and Google but haven't located a source for such wheels. If anybody has any info I would sure appreciate it. Gotta have doors to keep all those darn RV plans from blowing around. Thanks G

glad to help. i am to a point where i dont know what to do next. :? i guess that means i need to build a paint booth or just take the plane to the airport and assemble it, fly it for a year while i can still (barely) afford to buy gas and then pay someone else to paint it.:x oh, and see if my door needs new wheels.
