Post by smithhb »

After three years and four months, my RV-9A is deemed airworthy by Vern Darley, a fellow RV'er and DAR.

Now to get busy putting her back together and preparing for first flight.

Good job, Brett! Can't wait to see it when the paint finds it's way from the prop to the rest of the plane :)

Boy that's a big day!

For me, once I had the pink slip in hand and the inspection covers / interior installed the butterflies really hit. In my mind it really did switch from being a project to an airplane at that time. It was so weird to realize that I could actually climb into this thing I built in my garage, start the engine, and fly it.

Enjoy.

Thanks Guys,

I really owe a lot to all of you here on RB. Special thanks to Spike (Patty)for the great resource.

Guy, you are right about the butterflys... I'm taking a few days to clear my head before the first flight. Heading down to SnF tomorrow. Expect the first flight report on or around the 1st of May.
