I am having a difficult time with this one. Trying to rivet the F-902-L/R to the F-715B-L/R panels. The inboard rivets are the particular issue. Is there possibly another way using pulled rivets or even bolts here?
offset rivet set and another person on the bucking bar is what you need. one hand controlling the gun and the other holding the set so it doesnt spin to a less than desirable position when you blast the rivet.
I was dreading this after reading the thread. Today I riveted my subpanel in and had no issues. I did have to remove the fuel vent lines. This made it easier to get the angled rivet set in there without the potential to mess up the tubing. I even had the fresh air vents and tubing in place. Started on the side rivets, then moved to the canopy deck rivets. Once the two side pieces were in I put the forward canopy ribs in place on the firewall. Finished up with the center section. Did all of the riveting solo, and for once I didn't have to drill out anything!
