My '8 is creeping ever closer to completion in the UK and shortly after that I'm hoping to fly it to the Middle East as I'm working here for a few years.
I have an IO-360 200hp motor and it will be a Hartzell prop as supplied by Vans.
My question is, what sort of range are you guys getting with a similar set up? I'm hoping to not have to get a ferry tank plumbed in! Its a distance of about 2500 nm so the fewer stops the better!!
figure 8-9gph at 170-175kts. no wind condition, you can cover 600nm in 3.5hrs and still have an hour reserve. Throttle back or go high you can go further distance at a slower pace. Your looking at needing at least 3 fuel stops and 15hrs of flight time.
