New! Available N-Number Search Engine

Post by bullojm1 »

I have been hard at work updating my FAA Available N-Number search engine and I am proud to say it is finally ready for public consumption!

I made the nSearch program many years ago when I was building in order to find a great N-Number. I wasn't completely satisfied with the FAA's website as it has a very basic search engine, as well as it doesn't let you know of the latest N-Numbers that have been released into the public.

My goal with this site was to remove any limitations of searching for available N-Numbers. Additionally, every hour it crawls the FAA database to see which N-Numbers were recently freed up and lists them on a per-day basis, for up to the past 30 days.

The search engine can be accessed simply by going to http://www.tailnum.com. Enjoy!

Mikey, how about integrating an alert function that sends an email to a user when a number becomes available?

You could probably make some money with this!

CJ-

I've thought about adding some premium subscription based services. I want to see how much use it gets. If the demand is high enough, I'll start adding premium features.

For now, it's just something to do at work instead of work! :smash:
