It was -17°C this morning, and I had planned to fly, but the airport hadn’t been plowed yet. The ACOC was taped in 10 minutes. I don’t take off my top cowl often, so taping the ACOC gave me a good reason to check the engine area, and everything looked fine. I also removed the wax paper gasket from the remote pre-heat fuel system since it just gets in the way and the seal isn’t necessary. I grabbed some pull-ups and 50 push-ups to stay warm. It works.

Great photos.
Couple of question. What are the red 3D printed devices mounted to your inlet? Is that some sort of dehumidifier?
Those are inlet air dams designed to block incoming air in cold weather, helping maintain the cylinder head and oil temperatures at a reasonable level.
