I think I am going to buy it. I had a few more questions and Jon emailed me back personally. You can get them in either 12 or 24 volts. They are chromed and cost $350. They sell a chromed mount for $105. They don't sell the plumbing so I need to figure out if the Safeair kit will work.

I haven't plumbed it yet, but don't foresee any troubles. I am not at that stage of the game yet.
BTW, one more thing to muddy the mix with is the AP Servo bracket.
Jim Robinette came by on friday and showed me his TruTrack bracket. It mounts to the airleron bellcrank. Seems like we should be installing it now if we want to do things right.
I have a message in to TruTrack and will letcha know what they say.

Actually, Bill (killing more time at work!) the roll servo for the -8 is mounted in the fuse - see:

YUP, that makes sense...
There are so many parts the -7 and -8 have in common, I just assumed this was just another!
The -7 and -10 have the same roll servo mount!!!
...which begs the question, where do they stick the -9 servo?
I suppose I will figure that out when I start my -9 wings!

One of the builders here puts the aileron servo on the last rib at the right wing tip. It is easy to service by removing the wingtip and connects to the aileron bell crank by a rod. A really neat installation. This gentleman started with an RV 3 back in the 70's and has built every model Van makes with exception of the 10. He is now on his 2nd or 3rd RV9. He is retired and says he has to have something to do and every time he finishes one someone is there with the money to buy it. Must be nice!!
