Auto pilots? Electric Trim?

Post by Snap »

Hi guys and Gals,
Here is a good one for ya. If you are putting in an Auto Pilot (BM Efis lite) can you/do you put in electric trim as well or does the Auto Pilot servo's act as the Elec Trim as well? :?

Is that a goo question or what?

I can't seem to find any info on it.

Cheers

'tis indeed a "goo" question!

One for which, I do not have an answer!

I just couldn't leave it well enough alone!

On a more helpful note, have you looked into the Tru-Track unit? There was a write up I read on them not long ago and it seemed to me that they are RV builders. Perhaps you could ask them?

elec trim

G'day snap.
Naww, the elec trim runs the trim tabs and the auto pilot servos actuate the primary flight controls (ail, elev).
