Tank anti-rotation bracket?

Post by JohnR »

I'm ready to make the anti-rotation bracket and it says to make it from AA6-125X1X1 I have two pieces that appear to be the right size but are 2 inches long instead of one inch. Anyone know if these arethe correct ones? I hate to wack them into to later find out they are for something else. :?

John -
Yup I think so.
I used one of them for both my brackets.

Also - Just a hint - make the angles as long as you can - and put the rivets near the edge. Otherwise it's a real pain getting to the rivets around the elbow.
I ended up using pop rivets because I put the holes a little too close to each other.... :x
No problem since they are not structural.
Also - don't forget to safety wire per Van's Service bulletin...

Thanks Lorin! I thought they were the right pieces. Thanks for the reminder on the rivets and SB. I have the SB but would probably have drilled the holes a little close also.
